Depending on the operating temperature regime and the type of material being processed—whether high-viscosity polymers or sensitive aluminum foil—the rollers are engineered in various technical configurations. This ensures stable, precise, and reliable performance in continuous production.
The internal construction of the rollers is custom-designed to meet stringent process requirements, paying special attention to:
- Operating mode (high-efficiency heating or cooling)
- Exceptional temperature uniformity across the entire working surface (critical for preventing foil and plastic deformation)
- Mechanical loads and pressures during calendering and embossing
- Durability under demanding operating conditions
The working surface of the rollers can be additionally protected with hard chrome plating or surface-hardened up to 60 HRC. This achieves high wear resistance, minimal friction, optimal material release from the roller surface, and a significantly extended equipment service life.
